Here’s the problem: There’s very little information – and basically NO quality information – available on the subject of Money Management. My head coach Mark Hodge and I searched the Internet for days and didn’t find anything.

Could it be that “they” don’t want you to know about Money Management?

If you have been reading my book or attended any of my webinars, then you KNOW that a trading strategy is rarely the problem. In fact, Ralph Vince did an experiment to prove this stunning fact (Source: CSI News Journal, March 1992):

He gathered 40 PhDs, – supposedly smart people – and gave them a profitable trading strategy: This trading strategy had a winning percentage of 60%. Every trader in this experiment had a starting capital of $1,000, and they were supposed to make 100 trades. The rules were simple: On any given trade they could risk as much of their trading capital as they wanted. If they won, they won exactly the money that they risked. Example, if you risked $50 and you won, you made $50. If you lost, obviously you lost $50. Now, since this experiment took place in a simulated environment, out of these 100 trades there were 60 winning trades and 40 losing trades. So, it’s a no brainer, right? Everybody should make money. After all, they ALL had a profitable trading strategy.

Well, here’s the shocker. Only 2 out of these 40 traders made money. 95% of them lost money!

Why? – Gambler’s Fallacy and Poor Money Management!

So these traders lost, although they had a profitable trading strategy. You get the point, do you?

Why Traders Don’t Use Money Management
